It was going to rain. The forecast had said it all week, and I had photographed a rainy wedding the day before so I felt like I was prepared for that. On the day of Neil and Pumudi’s wedding, the stormy clouds were there in the morning. Until they weren’t. As a Hawke’s Bay Photographer you feel you can count on the weather to behave, and for this day it did. I was really keen to do a great job for Neil and Pumudi. Pumudi is the sister of Thushan, one of my closest friends and who was my witness at my own wedding (I didn’t have a best man, but he would’ve been it). Pumudi looked so poised, elegant and radiant that I was really excited by the end of the day to see the photographs I had taken. It was a day of twists and turns, of beautiful light, and a beautiful bride and groom and it was close to my heart. I hope you enjoy a little slice of their day.
